Congratulations are in order again for our Men's 5 Man Sunday Mail team who defeated local rivals the Hirsel 3.5-1.5 yesterday afternoon. Some great golf played again by Mark Collin, Keith Burgon, Colin Aitchison, Marcus D'Agrosa and Keith Craig sends them through to round 5. Good playing guys.

Congratulations to Robert Wallace of Canmore GC, Dunfirmline who won a set of Taylor Made RocketBladez irons for a Hole-in-One at the par 3 17th hole at our Winter Open Stableford on Saturday 14 March 2014. Robert (hcp 3) was playing with his son Bobby (hcp -1). The shot was witnessed by the 3 ball in front who were on the 18th Tee. The main Hole-in-One prize on the 3rd hole, a Citroen C1 Sponsored by DS Dalgleish, Coldstream was not won although there were a couple of knee shakers, one hitting the pin and another finishing 6" away. Thanks to all thoise who played and made it such a great and memorable weekend of golf.

The draw for the second round of the 2015 Men’s Mail on Sunday National Golf Club Classic has been completed. Eyemouth Golf Club has been drawn to play at home against Kelso Golf Club. The match must be played by Sunday 15th March 2015. No further extension to this date can be given.
Appointment We are delighted to announce that Keith Burgon has accepted the Executive Committee's offer to take over the position of Head Greenkeeper effective from 1 March 2015. Most Members will know Keith who was born and brought up in Eyemouth. He is a qualified Greenkeeper who served his time at Goswick. He gained further experience at The Hirsel and before joining Eyemouth as Deputy Head Greenkeeper last year spent a year as Deputy Head Groundsman at Loretto School in Musselburgh. He knows the golf course very well and in particular has experience with the unique micro climate of East Berwickshire coastline. Keith will take up his new position on 1 March 2015. We ask all Members to support Keith in his new role.
