Club Champions 2014

Gents Championship Final was won by Mark Collin who played outstanding golf to beat Jim Veitch on the 26th Hole.  Jim did nothing wrong, in fact he went round in under his handicap.  He was however no match for the stunning display of ball hitting from Mark who went round the first 18 in 8 under par for gross total of 64 which include driving the 7th green a putting in for an eagle 2.  Jim was inside Mark's ball for 2 but did not get a chance to put for his birdie.  Fabulous to witness such display of golf. Category 'B' was won by Dia Davies following a ding-dong battle with Alex Bolton.  The match swung both ways with first Dai, then Alex taking the lead before Dai finally triumphed. Category 'C' was won by Cameron Mitchell who beat Neil Douglas. The Ladies Championship was contested by Mary Gibson and Carmen McLemon with Mary eventually coming out top after 32 holes. Well done to all our 2014 Champions.
