Eyemouth hosted the Scottish Senior Women's Open this week and the Ladies coped well with the difficult conditions. Wednesday was relatively calm but there was an 'Eyemouth breeze' on Thursday and Friday. The Ladies coped admirable and the last few holes were played with the top two players, Nadine Gole (Australia) and Kathy Hartwiger (USA) tied on 9 over. On the 54th hole after Kathy had holed out Nadine was left with a 12 footer to win the trophy which she duly did. Congratulations to Nadine. Sarah Baker (Ireland) won the net medal after a review of her putting from David Ord prior to the last round! Special congratulations to Kirsty Inkpen (Eyemouth GC) who came 3rd in the net medal. The course was in great condition and thanks to the greenkeeping staff for their work in making sure that the course lived up to expectations!

Congratulations, Kirsty! Your determination truly exemplifies the phrase “we become what we behold.” This inspires not only fellow golfers but everyone striving for excellence. Thank you for sharing this uplifting moment!
